A service of remembrance was held at St Peter and St Paul Church Belchford for local resident Betty Marion Crickett who died recently.
Betty died on August 27 in Boston Pilgrim hospital, aged 81.
She was born in London but lived most of her life in Kent before moving to Belchford in 1987.
In the village, she became a popular and respected member of the church.
She enjoyed classical music and anything to do with nature and animals.
She enjoyed playing Scrabble and was a member of the Postal Scrabble Club for several years.
She was the widow of Stanley but had no immediate family.
The chief mourners at her Memorial Service on September 26 were cousins Joan and Roy Hooper, Janet and Alex Taylor, Keith and Clare Taylor and Andrew Taylor.
