There were reports of long delays on a main route through Horncastle today (Friday) - apparently caused by work started by a power company.
Western Distribution has started work in West Street.
That has led to temporary traffic lights in operation at the junction of West Street and the A158.
Several people contacted the News to complain about delays with traffic tailing back along the A158 in the direction of Hagworthingham.
One driver said it had taken more than 30 minutes to travel from Hagworthingham to the centre of Horncastle - a journey which normally takes her ten minutes.
Another resident complained the temporary lights were not operation in the correct sequence - adding to tail backs in both directions at the West Street junction.
