Rachel Walls from Tattershall tackles the sponsored abseil down the side of the Castle

ADVENTUROUS visitors at Tattershall Castle tackled a 100 foot abseil down the side of the historic building.

Volunteers from 13-years-old upwards tackled the sheer drop to raise money for the castle at the weekend.

More than £500 was raised to be spent on new ways to bring the castle to life.

With expert help from the team from Activities Away everyone was able to overcome their fears and beat the challenge.

The next event at the castle is Halloween, with events throughout the whole of half term including a pumpkin party, ghost walks and paranormal night.

Contact the castle for more details.
