Christmas came to Woodhall Spa on Friday as the crowds flocked into the village centre for the annual festive market.
As well numerous stalls filled with gifts and goodies to buy for that special loved one, there was a whole host of entertainment lined up. Carols were sung by children from St Hugh’s, St Andrew’s and Kirkby on Bain Primary Schools and there was a spot of street entertainment too.
Youngsters enjoyed some of the fairground rides and there was even a very special visit from the man in red - Santa Claus.
And Woodhall Spa and District Ladies Circle held a tombola with a difference - each of the prizes came with its very own bobble hat.
The mini bobble hats had been donated to Age UK Lindsey as part of the Big Knit campaign, a joint campaign between Age UK and Innocent. Each year members of the public knit hats to be ‘worn’ by Innocent drinks and 25p from each drink sold is then donated to Age UK.
The ladies were pleased to raise the sum of £123 on the night and this amount will be donated to Age UK Lindsey to support their winter warmth programme in East and West Lindsey.
Woodhall Spa & District Ladies Circle will also be out in Horncastle with Round Table Santa on the evening of Saturday December 14. The monies raised by the ladies on the evening will again be donated to Age UK Lindsey.
