UPDATE: Rescue crews attend Covenham Reservoir after reports of '˜windsurfer in distress'

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue crews attended Covenham Reservoir yesterday evening (February 6) following reports of a windsurfer in distress.

This morning (February 7), Louth Fire Station tweeted: “Yesterday, Green Watch SWRT [Swift Water Rescue Team] and Retained crew attended Covenham Reservoir to reports of a windsurfer in distress.”

Fire & Rescue responded alongside East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS), HM Coastguard and Coastguard Helicopter.

Louth Fire Station later tweeted that “all persons had been accounted for and checked over by ambulance personnel”.
