Three men are raising money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society by attempting to walk the length of Hadrian’s Wall.
David Peckham and Nathan Taverner, from Horncastle, and their friend, Dino Batchelor, will be taking on this walk at the end of September.
The walk starts in Bowness on Solway on September 22. The group will camp out every night before reaching Newcastle, which is their final destination.
The Multiple Sclerosis Society invest in research to find the cause and cure for this neurological condition. They also provide support, information and services to those affected.
The keen walkers have chosen to back this charity because David’s wife’s uncle suffers from multiple sclerosis.
He said: “I just wanted to do something to help him and others like him”.
Multiple sclerosis currently affects around 100,000 people in the United Kingdom.
If you want to make a donation then sponsor forms are currently available at Cloudnine Crafts in Horncastle, or you can visit their JustGiving page at http://www.justgiving.com/David-peckham1.
