The registration process for Louth and Horncastle residents wanting to attend an event to choose a new Conservative parliamentary candidate has been revealed.
It follows the decision of the local Conservative Association to hold an ‘open primary’ to find a replacement for Sir Peter Tapsell for next year’s General Election.
There are three ways in which people can register to attend the open primary:
*Telephoning Louth and Horncastle Conservatives on 01507 693713
*E-mailing Louth and Horncastle Conservatives at firstname.lastname@example.org
*Writing to Louth and Horncastle Conservatives with your full details at 16 Eastgate, Louth LN11 9NE
The primary will take place on Monday July 28 at Franklin Hall in Spilsby and will involve candidates undergoing an interview and a question and answer session from the floor before a vote from the audience.
Anyone living in the Louth and Horncastle constituency can take part, provided they are on the electoral register and register with the local Conservative Party.
