Doreen Hallett, group leader of Tor O’ Moor Quilters, is pictured presenting a cheque for £855 to Fiona Griffin, community liaison co-ordinator for Homestart Lincolnshire.

The group, which has just 14 members, raised the money from a draw for a quilt they had made.

The draw took place recently at an ‘Afternoon Tea With Quilt Show and Tell’ at St Peter’s Church Hall in Woodhall.

Other attractions on that day included a tombola, a fabric trader, a craft book trader and a stall with a variety of pieces made by group members.

The winner of the quilt ‘Dresden Tulips’ was Carol Ledua.
