They have also been greeted by First World war history reenactors and taking a look around First and Second World War and present day fire engines.

Visitors can also feel part of their very own tea party, celebrating the Queen’s 90th birthday, with live performers playing music throughout the day.

There are prizes to be won too. Enter a draw to win a heritage hamper including family tickets to Lincoln Castle, Gainsborough Old Hall and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight visitor centre, merchandise and books, by telling what you love most about Lincolnshire heritage at the stand.

Visitors can also enter a prize draw to win a bicycle with Emergency Planning, donated by Halfords.

At 3pm tomorrow (Thursday), the chairman of Lincolnshire County Council, Coun Martin Trollope-Bellew, will present the Good Citizens Awards to this year’s winners.

The council’s stand is displaying information on a range of council services including, adult social care, children’s services and public health and members of the public can discuss local concerns with their elected councillors.
