Swimmers pool efforts for charity
The annual swimathon, run by East Lindsey District Council’s Swimming Pool in Horncastle, saw 37 staff and members of the public swim either 2.5km or 5km, altogether raising 2647.40 for charity.
The money will go to Marie Curie Cancer Care, which supports the families and suffers of cancer in Lincolnshire.
Facility manager Christine Malpas commended everyone who took part. She said: “I’d like to thank everyone who took part in this exciting challenge for a very worthy cause. As well as raising money for charity, the event also brought people together to have fun, whilst also being active.”
