The Sebastopol Inn at Minting celebrated a win in the Select Lincolnshire Pub of the Year award, beating competition from The Wheatsheaf Inn, Boston and The Thornton Hunt Inn.

The pub also won the Best Pub Food award.

Owner David Reed said: “We were really surprised to have won but we’re delighted with the award.

“Select Lincolnshire promote what the county has to offer and that’s part of our ethos, using ingredients which is sourced from local producers.

“We work very closely with Minting Park Farm and the quality speaks for itself.

“We have only been going two and a half years, and we are so pleased to have been recognised for what we do.

“Apart from the three of us, myself, my wife Dianne and son Nick, we have Ellie who is our front of house supervisor and Adam our apprentice trainee chef.

“There is our team of QEGS girls who help us out on a regular basis; Amy, Phoebe and Alice, and also James and Katie who join us during their University holidays.

“Without them we would certainly not have done so well.”
