Scouts' St George's Day parade
Beavers, Cubs and Scouts from Horncastle were among the young people who paraded through the streets of Sleaford as part of their annual celebration of scouting and St George. Following the parade, a short service was held in St Deny's Church, were members were reminded of the adventures of last year and encouraged to look forward to this summer and beyond.
“St George’s Day is a highlight of my scouting year,” said District Commissioner Ian Kingdom. “Not only do we as a district come together to celebrate scouting, but we also get to say thank you to our leaders and supporters – as well as remind the public that we are here and still going strong.”
