A special ceremony has been held to mark the completion of the latest stage in the modernisation of the Manor House Street Community Centre in Horncastle.
Coun Bill Aron presented a cheque to David Dean (chairman of the trustees) on behalf of Lincolnshire County Council.
Mr Dean showed visitors the a access ramp, a resurfaced car park and an automatic entrance door financed by a grant from Awards for All.
Guests included town Mayor Fiona Martin and Lincolnshire County Council Grants Officer Wendy Moore.
They were welcomed by Community Centre treasure John Lechler, trustee Bob Wayne and Mo Spears who represented user organisations.
The event coincided with the weekly session of the Lincolnshire Credit Union with volunteers Brenda Cousner, Jenny Lawrence and Nigel Wright ready to receive savings and give budgeting advice. Linda Burden from head office was in attendance.
Mr Dean said: “We are delighted with our new look and that our recent arrivals.”
