Resident is full of praise for re-surfacing workforce

A Horncastle man has praised workers who carried out vital re-surfacing of a road during a night-time operation.

Andrew Neal had initially raised concerns that the work - on Langton Hill - could cause disruption over a scheduled three night programme.

He said: “Despite my reservations as to the requirement to work throughout the night, I would like to offer my thanks to the workforce involved.

“There were a number of different contractors working together and I observed them completing the work in a most professional manner.

“The main cause of noise was the random movement of vehicles due to poor planning.”
