A Tree of Light will remember loved ones in the Horncastle area this Christmas.
If you have a close family member or friend who has died, either recently or in the past, Horncastle’s Rotary and Lions Clubs are giving you an opportunity to have a light on the tree dedicated to their memory.
In return for a minimum donation of £10, to be split between three hospice charities that serve Horncastle and its surrounding villages, the names of those remembered will also be published in the Horncastle News and at www.horncastletreeoflight.co.
Situated at the junction of North Street and East Street, the Tree will have its lights switched on at a simple ceremony on December 13 at 6.30pm and will remain lit for the duration of the festive season.
Applications forms can be obtained from HA Stanley Electrical Suppliers at 21 High Street in Horncastle and Fletcher and Hughes at 8 High Street. They can also be downloaded from www.horncastletreeof light.co.uk.
St Barnabas Hospice, Louth and District Hospice and the St Andrew’s Children’s Hospice in Grimsby are this year’s charities.
