The Horncastle News office in Church Lane had some unusual visitors recently - from the Roman era.
Local history enthusiasts Sheila and Karen Jonkers joined forces with Janice Nickolls - site co-ordinator at Horncastle Library - and dressed up as Romans for a day.
They then took visitors on a guided tour of some of Horncastle’s Roman sites.
It was all part of a county wide heritage weekend with the library playing a prominent role, staging a number of event - including a Roman family day.
The trip are pictured with some of the people who took part in the tour which was described as a’ great success.’
