Police warning after FIVE vehicles targeted in Lincolnshire village overnight

Louth Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team is reminding residents to be vigilant after five vehicles in Holton le Clay were targeted by thieves overnight (July 15-16).

Two vehicles on Louth Road were entered, and items were stolen from within - which have since been recovered nearby (incident 124 of July 16).

A vehicle parked on Church Lane was also entered; however, nothing was stolen (incident 156 of July 16).

Another vehicle, which was parked on a driveway in Tetney Lane, was entered and the offenders then removed all four wheels of the vehicle (incident 155 of July 16).

A van which was parked in Garthway was also entered, and a number of tools were stolen from inside (incident 256 of July 16).

PCSO Sally Hewitt said: “None of the vehicle show any signs of forced entry, and it is possible that they were left unlocked.

“Please can we remind people the importance of locking your vehicles - and checking that they are locked.”
