PICTURE GALLERY: Wind does not break Wragby New Year’s Eve tradition

Wragby New Year

Wragby New Year

It’s a tradition in Wragby to see in the New Year by joining hands around the Market Square’s Christmas tree and singing Auld Langs Syne.

It’s a tradition in Wragby to see in the New Year by joining hands around the Market Square’s Christmas tree and singing Auld Langs Syne.

As reported last week the high winds got the better of this year’s tree and snapped it at the base.

But this did not stop revellers continuing with tradition by seeing in 2014 singing around a miniature artificial Christmas Tree.

A fireworks display arranged by Rodney Alcock, landlord of the Ivy Inn, also lit up the square at midnight.
