Nursery worker takes top gong at National Awards

A NURSERY worker at Wellies Nursery, Horncastle, has been named as the Early Years Practitioner of the Year at the Nursery World Awards in London.
Victoria Stafford was nominated by her boss Kathy Christie and said she was “overwhelmed” after winning.
She continued: “The whole experience has been a great opportunity - once in a lifetime.
“I believe I wouldn’t be the practitioner I am without the support I gain from Kathy and Wellies.”
Victoria has been an Early Years Professional at Wellies for two years, and is also a member of the senior management team at just 25-years-old.
As an EYP she oversees the whole nursery, but also supervises the baby room - responsible for two rooms, and four full-time staff caring for up to 24 two-year-olds.
