It’s not just pot-hole free roads that are becoming a rare sight in Woodhall Spa these days - parish councillors are pretty thin on the ground.
A few months ago, 12 people served on the parish council.
However, a swathe of resignations has decimated the ranks.
Several councillors quit because of the Jubilee Park fiasco.
Now, Craig Aitken has become the seventh to resign, citing ‘personal and work commitments’.
His resignation meant just five councillors were present at a ‘full’ meeting last week, including chairman David Clarke.
He said: “We appear to be dropping like flies.”
The council has filled one vacancy with the appointment of Graham Keegan, but still has three other vacancies.
