Staff from Woodhall Spa’s Kinema in the Woods were given red carpet treatment as they picked up a national award in London’s Leicester Square.

The Kinema has been awarded the British Kinematograph, Sound and Television Society (BKSTS) Cinema Tecnhology Committee Projection Team of the Year 2012.

This is in recognition of their high standards of cinema presentation.

The national award was presented to the Kinema’s projection team during the annual CTC awards and Christmas Party held at the Odeon in Leicester Square.

Chief projectionist David Gammon and manager Philip Jones were presented with their certificate by Sir Sydney Samuelson.

Philip paid tribute to owner James Green, who couldn’t
attend the event due to an
Organ Concert that
afternoon, by saying he was the driving force behind the Kinema.

He added: “All we have ever tried to do is put on the best show possible for the public.

“We are delighted that the hard work of all of the staff here has been recognised with this award.”
