Lucky escape for driver

The wreckage of the Vauxhall Corsa

The wreckage of the Vauxhall Corsa

This was the wreckage of a car which hit a tree, flipped onto its roof, bounced back across the road and hit a brick wall.

Thankfully the 21-year-old driver of the Vauxhall Corsa, from New York, escaped with only cuts and bruises from the accident, which took place on the A155 outside The Red Lion pub at Revesby at around 9.50am on Saturday, January 25.

His family sent the Horncastle News this picture to remind other drivers of the dangers of driving on wet and muddy roads.

His father told the News he was driving well within the speed limit when he lost control on the muddy, potholed road.
