A trio of local musicians filled the pews of St Mary’s Church with their concert ‘A Well Prepared Impromptu’.

Chris Hinkins led Chris Liversidge and Gail Hinkins on the church’s grand piano and the trio put on a programme of music including Chopin and songs which could be found in London’s West End. After a number of solos Gail and Chris Liversidge joined together for a rendition of ‘Do You Love Me’ from Fiddler on the Roof.

The evening, dedicated to the memory of Ann Wayne and Diana Wilkins, closed with a musical adaption of Tennyson’s ‘Crossing The Bar’. The evening raised nearly £800 for church funds and was deemed a great success.
