On Friday, staff members across the Society’s trading area will be taking part and turning orange – the MS Society’s signature colour. They will be painting their faces, getting dolled up in fancy dress, and might even slap on a bit of fake tan!

Community Engagement Manager Sam Turner said: “We’ll be putting the fun in fundraising and encouraging our customers to dig deep for this brilliant cause.

“They can drop by their local store to visit cake sales and take part in loads of fun activities and competitions – all to help the MS Society to help local people with this debilitating condition.”

Outlets will be offering customers the opportunity to win one of three prizes with a quiz sheet, which is available for a £1 donation. It will feature anagrams which entrants will have to unscramble for the chance to win.

All correct completed entries will go into a draw to win an iPad mini with an orange case, £50 in Lincolnshire Co-op vouchers, or a hamper of food goodies.

Area Fundraiser for the MS Society Caroline Kew said: “I’m really excited about Lincolnshire Co-op’s plans for an Orange Friday event and have high hopes that it will raise lots of money as well as awareness of the support that the MS Society Grants Programme gives to people affected by MS in Lincolnshire”

To date, Lincolnshire Co-op has raised almost £10,000 for the MS Society.
