Last chance to pick up this year’s LIVES charity calendar

There is still time to get your LIVES calendar to help raise vital funds for the Lincolnshire charity.

LIVES First Responders were forced to order a second print run of the calendar after selling all of the original 500 copies and there is still an opportunity to pick one up at the Horncastle News office.

This is the first time LIVES have launched a calendar, which features scenes of Lincolnshire, but the charity hope it will raise awareness of its work and some of the £820,000 it costs each year to operate.

Steve Hyde from LIVE S said: “The way things are going this year we will go to over 20,000 emergency calls, and can you imagine Lincolnshire without LIVES?

“We need that support. We need to raise that money and as we get bigger it costs more to keep going.

“I went to an 18-month-old baby last month. People think we only go to older people, but recently I also attended two calls involving 15 year olds.

“We do seem to only get support from the elderly, and they cannot always afford it.”

Steve hopes the calendar, available in A4 and slimline sizes, will appeal to all age groups and will not only raise funds, but also awareness of the first responders’ role.

Each page of the calendar includes a different fact or piece of information about the charity.

Steve hopes this will be the first of many LIVES calendars to be produced in the years ahead.

He added: “It costs over £820,000 a year minimum to keep us running and we want to expand.

“What cost do you put on a life?”

You can get hold of your copy of the calendar by visiting the News office in Church Lane.

The calendar costs £4.50.
