Horncastle rocked this weekend to raise money for MacMillian Cancer Care.
The event was organised by the owners of Harpers bar, Rainer Barnes and Claire Farrell, and featured three bands - Suicide Badgers, The Freefall, and 5 Day Weekend.
Around 150 tickets were sold for Saturday’s event, which took place at the Community Centre, and attracted people of all ages from 18 to 60.
This year’s event was organised following the success of ‘For One Night Only’, a similar event organised by Harpers bar last year, which also raised money for MacMillian.
Horncastle Rocks was described as a success by Claire, who said that turnout was as expected, adding that the venue was busy all evening.
Leanne Kirk who attended the event described it as “brilliant” and “a really fun evening,” saying that The Freefall were “really talented.”
A great time was had by all, with 5 Day Weekend describing the event as a “fabulous night,” while The Freefall commented: “All we can say about last night is Wow” ‘Horncastle really does rock!! You guys were so amazing!”
Although it is yet unknown how much money has been raised by the event, it is hoped that the total will be in the region of £500.
Harpers are hoping to organise a similar charity event next year.
