Horncastle Ladies Club gives £500 to charity

At Horncastle Ladies Club’s Christmas Meal, Chairman Valerie Mirams handed out £250 cheques to St. Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice and the Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths (FSID).

Valerie said: “We raised the money over the year at our harvest day, bring and buy sale and coffee afternoons.

“We even had a chocolate tombola that raised £100!”

“We chose the charities because a number of members are involved with them. It means a lot to us to give them this money.”

The Ladies Club meet every second Tuesday of the month at Horncastle Community Centre from 2pm til 4pm.
