Officers are asking the public’s help in identifying three young males who may be able to assist with their enquiry.

Around 5.30pm on Monday, June 6, a gold Rover 25, registration AX52 HVG, was driven through the cemetery on London Road, allegedly knocking down some headstones.

The vehicle was blocked in by a member of staff, and the driver and passengers abandoned the car and left in the direction of the town centre by foot.

Officers seized the vehicle and enquiries revealed that it has not been re-registered with new keeper details after being recently sold.

PC Melvin O’Reilly is keen to speak to the three young males in the CCTV image.

If you are one of the males pictured, or you know their identity, contact PC O’Reilly by calling 101 and quoting incident number 291 of June 6.
