Farmers Club to get a facelift

Horncastle Farmers Club have successfully applied for a grant from the Lindsey Action Zone to help transform the look of the building and to ensure its future.
Horncastle Mayor Fiona Martin, who chairs the LAZ Local Action Group, said: “LAZ funding is all about supporting rural groups and businesses, as well as keeping our market towns looking attractive for residents and visitors to enjoy.”
The building was originally a post house, until is was bought from the Revesby Estate in 1944. and it has since come a long way from housing the Farmers Ball, Fat Stock Committee and offices of the National Farmers Union.
It now accommodates the Young Farmers Club, Age Concern shop and snooker clubs.
