Family will never get over death of son
The father of a man who died in Horncastle last year has expressed his sadness at his son’s passing.
Paul Wray was found dead in the home of Keiron Podd last March and his father Charlie has told the News that he has found the past 12 months difficult.
Mr Podd had been accused of the murder of Mr Wray but was found not guilty by a jury at Nottingham Crown Court.
Paul was Charlie’s only son, and Charlie said: “I will never get over it.
“It’s been difficult for all the family, and the ordeal has made Paul’s mother very ill.
“I still believe it’s what killed my father - the loss of his grandson.”
Charlie wished to express his thanks to residents of the town who have shown him support since his son’s death.
He also wanted to thank Horncastle’s police team for their support since Paul’s death.
“I would like to thank Horncastle’s neighbourhood beat officers. They were extremely helpful when taking me, family and friends to court both in Leicester and Nottingham.
“They made it a lot easier for us and they were very helpful and supportive.”
