Born in Woodhall Spa, David Roark has lived and worked in Horncastle for overs 25 years,
He is married with two sons who both attended local primary and secondary schools.
He runs an established family business, based in Horncastle, and says he understands the importance of encouraging new enterprises and organisations to Horncastle, while conserving the charm and character of the town.
Mr Roark has been a member of Horncastle Town Council since 2007 and has been deputy mayor and mayor.
He has served as chairman and vice chairman of the Town’s Council’s Personal and Finance Committee and Estates Committee.
Along with his fellow councillors, he is determined to improve the town and was a key team member during the refurbishment of the Cemetery Lodge and Chapel after major fire damage.
He also helped in negotiations to transfer the ‘Astro Path’ to the town council and the construction of the new path.
He is heavily involved in on-going maintenance of St Mary’s Churchyard grounds and has supported many other local groups, committees and organisations.
Mr Roark is an active member of the Neighbourhood Development Plan Group and represents the town on the district CCTV Parternship.
He is an avid supporter of the town’s football club.
