The legendary Dambusters squadron - which has historic links with Woodhall Spa - is heading for a new home and a new type of fighter aircraft.
The 617 squadron, which was based at Woodhall during the latter stages of the Second World War, currently operates from Lossiemouth in Scotland.
However, the squadron is being disbanded and its Tornado aircraft are being taken out of service.
The squadron will re-form in 2016 and will be based at RAF Marham in Norfolk.
Pilots will then fly a new stealth fighter, in a joint venture between the RAF and the Royal Navy.
