Members of the Tattershall Lincolnshire Co-op have raised more than £220 for Alzheimer’s Society.

This money was pooled
together with other stores county-wide to raise more than £9,000 for Alzheimer’s Society as part of a group challenge.

The challenge, called Miles for Memories, saw
hundreds of staff from all over the business get together to complete as a many miles as possible during
Co-operatives Fortnight.

The Tattershall team cycled over 210 miles on an exercise bike in store as part of the Miles for Memories challenge. Members included Ryan Wallis, Hannah Speed-Thorpe and Amber Jones.

Member Engagement Manager Richard Whittaker said, “We’re thrilled with the effort colleagues put in to keep the miles clocking up during the challenge.”

He also said, “Alzheimer’s Society is a very worthwhile cause and close to the hearts of so many people. We hope the total we raise
throughout the year
continues to rise.”

Alzheimer’s Society is
Lincolnshire Co-op’s 2014 Charity of the Year and money raised provides life-changing support for local people with dementia and their families and carers.
