Blooming great way to raise funds for town church

HORNCASTLE gardeners Pat and Mick Rowett held an open garden event to raise money for The Friends of St. Mary’s Church.

They also had a plant stall, raffle and competitions for nearly 200 visitors.

The grand total raised for the Friends was £1,174.

A group from the U3A also enjoyed a private viewing.

Winners of competitions were: Pick A Flower, Sally Graham; Name the tree face, Patrick Fox; Raffle for £25 Crowders Garden Centre Voucher, Kathy Henegan.

Other raffle winners were: Vic 
Atkinson, John Marwood, Mary 
Silverton, Karen Stott, Sandra 
Pickering, Ivor Bee, David Cotton and Roy Lenord.

Pat wishes to thank family, friends and neighbours who helped contribute to their successful weekend.
