Pupils at Bardney Church of England and Methodist Primary School have recently taken part in iSingPOP, an exciting music project that helps schools to promote the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of pupils.

Fun-filled songs with positive lyrics create a climate and school ethos where children are encouraged to appreciate their own worth and that of others.

The project engages children and their families, and offers schools the opportunity to work corroboratively with the local community. The concert took place at St Lawrence Church, Bardney, where there was standing room only.

Headteacher Garth Hicks said “This is an amazing project that has enabled all of our children to perform in front of a packed church and to also produce their own CD. Everyone has said what a brilliant concert it was.”

A local author and actress could be set for worldwide fame and fortune after the astonishing success of her new novel.

Representatives from Royal Air Force (RAF) Coningsby deliver a cheque to the British Heart Foundation committee in Lincoln. The newly fromed committee is made up of Wendy Gelder, Jacki Spencer, Kath Mitchell and Maggie Betton and they were presented the cheque for �602.67 by SAC Steven Aliwell, SAC Terry Williams, Cpl Howard Charlton, SAC Marc Horton and SAC Billy Goodway.  The money was raised from the Supply and Logisitics Squadrons annual Boston Slog event where participants run or cycle the 28 miles to and from the Boston Stump church.
