A158 - Drivers need to take more care

I live close to the A158 which, as I'm sure everyone is aware, is the main route linking inland Lincolnshire with the coast.

At this time of the year – and for the rest of the summer – it is very busy, particularly on Fridays and at the weekends.

Unfortunately, I have become all too familiar with the sound of sirens coming from various emergency vehicles.

Indeed, a week hardly seems to pass without reports of some accident in the Horncastle area.

We keep being told that the A158 is a dangerous road.

Yes, it does carry a lot of traffic, but could I just appeal for drivers of all vehicles to take extra care.

A few extra minutes ensuring your journey is completed is surely better than not arriving at your destination at all.
