More than 200 people turned out last Saturday to watch a charity premiere of a film about the First World War and how it affected the Crowder family.

‘Tell Them Of Us’ was screened at Stanhope Hall in aid of restoration funds for St Margaret’s Church at Thimbleby.

The film tells the true story of brothers William and Robert Crowder and what happened after they left to fight in the war

Mayor’s Consort David Andrews, with the Mayor of Horncastle Sandra Campbell-Wardman, is pictured with the film’s director and cameraman Nick Loven. The event was also attended by Bill Aron, Chairman of Lincolnshire County Council, and his consort Amanda Job.

The evening was sponsored and organised by cousins Robert Crowder and Robert Holland and all visitors received a souvenir brochure, which is being shown to the mayor in the photograph.
