Over the past few months, all ages of the Horncastle area community have been sewing, sticking and crafting 1,000 baubles as part of the Big Christmas Tree project.
Now the finished product is complete and it will be revealed this weekend as St Mary’s Church in the town holds its Christmas Tree Festival.
“The response has been enormous,” said festival organiser Lynn Urbanowicz.
“Baubles have been created by the youngest in the town to our eldest residents.
“In fact about 1 in 8 of our residents have created a decoration for the tree - that is simply fantastic.”
The tree stands five metres tall and will be displayed in the church with more than 50 other Christmas trees during this weekend’s event.
Go along on Saturday, from 10am, or Sunday, from 12 noon, to see the crafty community creation.
