Blood pressure checks for free

LINCOLNSHIRE Co-Op pharmacies are offering free blood pressure checks during the ‘Know Your Numbers!’ week - September. 10–16

44 pharmacies in the county are among more than 1,500 ‘Pressure Stations’ taking part in the nation’s biggest blood pressure testing event.

One in three adults have high blood pressure, and a third are unaware. High blood pressure is responsible for 60 per cent of strokes and 40 per cent of heart attacks.

Head of pharmacy at Lincolnshire Co-Op Alastair Farquhar said: “Having your blood pressure checked is easy and takes less than five minutes, but the health benefits are invaluable.”
