She’s played in front of Prince Charles and Kylie Minogue and now pianist Fenella Paris is planning to hit the high notes in Horncastle.
The 25-year-old has set up a town centre business as a piano teacher.
And Fenella, a product of the prestigious Royal College of Music, is determined to find a star of the future,.
Fenella has already started her task and has been teaching students at the town’s Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School.
However, she is keen to attract new pupils and believes there is exciting musical talent in the Horncastle area
Fenella said: “I love teaching and I love my work at QEGS. There are some very promising pianists around.”
Born in Somerset, Fenella moved to the Horncastle area to be closer to her parents.
Her mum was a piano teacher so Fenella is following a proud family tradition.
An outstanding pianist in her own right, Fenella performed at Buckingham Palace when Kylie received her OBE from Prince Charles.
However, she admits it wasn’t as glamorous as it sounds as she performed in a side-room and didn’t get to see the actual ceremony!
Fenella, who has a BMus Honours Degree, has played at a number of other famous venues but is focussing on teaching, rather than a performing career.
