Wood planting at Holmwood Farm

The Woodland Trust has issued an open invitation for people to attend a community tree planting day at Holmwood Farm Jubilee Wood on Saturday, November 17.

The farm is situated in Elmhirst Lane, Horncastle and the aim is to create a new woodland area to mark the Jubilee.

The event will run from 11am-1pm.

Parking will be available although the Trust is appealing for people to either walk to the site, or car share.

Anyone interested is asked to take along suitable footwear, warm waterproof clothing and a spade.

Children should be accompanied by a responsible adult.
