Town centre march to highlight need for action

MOVING beyond fossil fuels was the message behind an event staged in Horncastle on Saturday as people turned out to support Carbon Neutral Day.

The one-hour event, from 11am, was promoted by environmental group Transition Town Horncastle.

Those taking part gathered in the town centre and walked, cycled or roller-skated towards the swimming pool and the nearby woodland.

The event was part of a global day of action by Moving Planet – a worldwide rally to demand solutions to the climate crisis.
