Fund offers seeds to its supporters
WORLD Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) has launched its annual memorial appeal by offering its supporters wildflower seeds that can be scattered in memory of a loved one.
The annual Wildflower Appeal provides a way for people to remember lost loved ones by growing flowers in their memory.
It is giving packs of the Heartsease flower, a wildflower from the pansy family, to those who make a donation as part of the appeal.
The seeds have been donated by Chase Garden Organic Seeds and donations will go towards WCRF’s research and education programmes into the links between cancer and diet, physical activity and weight.
People can get one of the packs by selecting a wildflower from WCRF’s online meadow at www.wcrf-uk.org/wildflower and then making a donation.
A packet of seeds will then be sent in the post.
Alternatively, people can make a donation by calling 0207 3434205 and they will then be sent a packet of seeds.
