Chance to discuss flooding

VICTIMS of flooding in Horncastle and surrounding villages will have the chance to voice their concerns at a flood forum later this month.

Representatives from various organisations will be represented at the forum, including East Lindsey District Council, Lincolnshire County Council, Horncastle Town Council, the Environment Agency, Anglian Water and the local Drainage Board.

Plans for the forum - organised by the county council’s emergency management services department - are still being finalised.

However, a provisional date of October 24 has been set aside with the venue at Stanhope Hall.

A spokesman for the county council said: “We’re aware of how important the issue of flooding is to people in Horncastle.

“The forum will be open to the public and it will be a chance for people to talk to all the organisations involved.”
