Heave-ho me hearties...Year 1 pupils at St Hugh’s School in Woodhall Spa dressed as pirates and had a day full of pirate activities to celebrate learning this term.
They went on a pirate adventure, sailing on Captain Waite’s ship to find the secret treasure - and getting marooned along the way.
They wrote secret messages to ask someone to rescue them - and put the messages in a bottle. Later on, the pupils walked the plank and retrieved their bottles from the pool.
In the afternoon, they ate pirate treasure map pizza, decorated pirate biscuits and painted papier mache boats. What an exciting day!
