Pupils and staff from Horncastle’s two secondary schools braved the cold on Thursday to maintain a long-time tradition of laying a wreath on the grave of Susan Jobson.
“It’s a tradition we keep up. We recognise the contribution by the Jobson Trust. It’s even more significant this year as we are celebrating our close partnership with Queen Elizabeth Grammar and the Johnson Trust is founded on the desire to open the door for successful education futures,” said Banovallum headteacher Nicky Shore.
The Jobson Trust was set up following a request in the will of George Jobson, to provide financial help to both schools, with a request a wreath is laid on his mum’s grave every year.
