Coningsby St. Michael’s C of E Primary School has started the New Year with a new outdoor learning area for it’s Foundation Stage children.
Staff have worked closely with Newby Leisure Ltd to create an inspirational learning environment that will be sustainable for many years to come.
The area can be used to provide a wide range of learning experiences and fully endorses the reformed Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
The children have responded positively to the new area, their initial reaction proved immediately how successful the project has been.
One parent who attends the school’s weekly pop in session said: “It’s a fantastic area for play, development and learning for children and grown ups.”
Another added: “It’s an amazing resource that my daughter cannot stop talking about and I look forward to hearing what exciting learning she takes part in next.”
The school’s Early Years Governor said: “The children all love being outside and are so enthusiastic about their learning.
“They have said they love being out there and learning together with friends.”
