Primary School children in Race for Life
Children at Kirkby on Bain Primary School taking part in a Race for Life mile
Kirkby on Bain Primary School’s ‘healthy week’ culminated with a ‘Race for Life’ event to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Headteacher Simon Morley said: “We are very proud of our Healthy Schools accreditation here at Kirkby on Bain and all week, the children have come to school in their PE kits.
“Along with members of staff, they have started each day with a vigorous 20 minute exercise session in the playground before lessons begin.
“In class, the children have been learning about how to be healthy in a variety of exciting ways.”
A grand total of £172.70 was raised.
