Nursery team player in line for national industry award

Victoria Stafford has been shortlisted for the Nursery World Awards 2012 in the Early Years Professional (EYP) category.

Victoria is a member of staff at Wellies, a local Nursery and Out of School Club in Horncastle. Her role as EYP is to ensure that the highest quality of care is delivered to every child by each member of staff.

Kathy Christie, owner of Wellies, said: “Victoria is more than an EYP: she is an inspiring team player who is thirsty for more knowledge and opportunities to implement that knowledge.”

The Local Authority representative who coordinates the EYPs in the county said: “Victoria is a great representative of what I believe Early Years Professional Status to be about, a committed and reflective leader who thrives on the work she does to improve outcomes for young children.”

The winner will be announced at a gala awards dinner in London on Friday September 28.
