Jacdor Community Pre-School in Coningsby is celebrating again.
The school has just been awarded £2,000 from the Lloyds Bank Community Fund, only a week after the grand opening of their new toilets.
Several organisations were bidding for the Lloyds cash in the Linconshire area with members of the public voting for their favourite.
Jacdor were awarded the money after polling the second highest number of votes in the South Lincolnshire area.
The money will go towards on-going improvements at the school.
Marilyn Hawkins, chairman of the school’s management committee, said: “Obviously, we are delighted with the news.
“We’re very grateful to Lloyds Bank for selecting us as one of their four organisations for the area and extremely grateful to the thousands of members of the public who must have voted for us to get second place.
“The area we were in stretched from Coningsby to Boston and out to the coast at Skegness so we feel pretty privileged.”
Jacdor has provided pre-school education for service and civilian families in the Coningsby area for more than 20 years.
A registered charity, the school has particularly strong links with RAF Coningsby, which supported the successful bid for funds that helped build the new toilets.
The school has ambitious plans to improve facilities with a new porch high on the agenda.
The Lloyds Bank Community Fund was set to up help local people across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
